After growing up with passions for math and science, as well as working with my family's construction company, I knew that the combination of engineering and business management that I've found in Southern Methodist University's Management Science Program would be perfect for me. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Management Science from the Lyle School of Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in French from the Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences at Southern Methodist University in December 2023. After finding a passion for optimization, I wanted to continue my education at SMU. I recently completed my Masters in Operations Research with a Machine Learning concentration from SMU in August 2024.In my final undergraduate semester I completed my Senior Design project with ORM Technologies where I coded in R to transform 19 million data observations into visual 5 to 10-step marketing journeys. As a sophomore, I worked as a consultant for Janta Power, a renewable energy startup, where I researched energy efficient motors, sustainable materials, and solar simulation in order to help my team build a sun emulator to test solar panel designs. In the summer of 2022 I interned abroad at MyGreenCollection, a sustainable luxury tourism startup in Aix-en-Provence, France where I wrote articles for the company magazine in both English and French. All of these experiences have helped me strengthen my competencies in coding, research, and problem solving, but also revealed the importance of using these skills to help the world around me. My studies in French and my five years at Willowdale Estate Catering have helped me realize my passion working with people and experiencing different cultures. My internships at Janta and MyGreenCollection have also exposed me to the importance of taking care of our environment. Finally, my studies at SMU and my incredible experience at ORM have made me a passionate problem solver. Therefore, I would love to work internationally in an analytical field that incorporates both hospitality and sustainability.
