During my eight weeks, I worked with 200 patients in the outpatient general population with conditions in women’s health, orthopedic, and neurologic dysfunctions. Evaluations and treatments focused on providing the patient with a holistic approach.• Planned 50 women’s health treatments that included neuromuscular electrical stimulation and biofeedback to treat urinary and fecal incontinence• Utilized cupping as a non-invasive treatment for myofascial restrictions• Provided manipulations of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine for patients with spinal dysfunctions

Joplin, Missouri Area

I worked with patients in all 7 floors of the hospital, ranging from the neonatal intensive care unit to post-operative care. Recommended discharge and treatments based on patient’s current level of functional mobility. • Performed 20 neonatal reflex screenings, oral motor intervention, and family education on positioning to premature infants• Presented an in-service on hospital objective assessments which resulted in two newly implemented outcome measures• Implemented early mobilization program for patients in the intensive care unit
