Duties include assisting the President and board members with various administrative tasks: public outreach, technical analysis, and report writing, public meeting attendance, data entry, social media management, and event coordination. Community outreach and collaboration with our partner organizations are crucial to this position. Frequent use of Microsoft Office and Mail Chimp software.

NPMS manages North Park’s BID. Duties include assisting the President and Office Assistant with various projects, including Public Right of Way (PROW) compliance, event planning & coordination, and data entry. As an intern, I served as a liaison between business owners and the City of San Diego. Team engagement, community outreach, and maintaining strong ties with business owners were key to my success in this position.

At BrightSide, undergraduate students and faculty collaborate to combat food insecurity and injustice in various underprivileged communities within San Diego County. This intern position promotes teamwork, community involvement, individual and collaborative research methods, and a professional work environment.Research project involving mapping and auditing to further develop and establish BrightSide services as a useful asset to communities in need. Field work in the communities; delivering fresh produce to corner stores located in food deserts. Successful teamwork skills necessary for completing tasks at-hand. Navigate Microsoft Excel on a weekly basis. Develop and apply personal research methods in the field and office setting.
