The academy’s ethos is friendly, positive and well disciplined." www.hodgson.lancs.sch.ukIn February 2015 I was appointed the role of Temporary Teacher of Textiles at Hodgson Academy, where I have taught Design & Technology: Textiles across KS3 and KS4 alongside Food Technology, Graphics, Product Design and ICT at KS3. As the role of Textiles teacher, I have developed schemes of work, introduced sewing club for both KS3 and KS4 at lunch and after school and I have used social media tools, such as Instagram to increase the profile of Textiles amongst the student body.

As a tutor at Grace & Favour Fabrics and The Sewing Sanctuary, I have taught private sewing and craft classes for both children and adults, from the age 8 years+. I have used my unique skill set to develop and plan my own schemes of work for a diverse range of sewing and craft courses and workshops.
