• Evaluated previous seasons’ sales, looked for commonalities and trends, and then developed a strategy for the next season’s buy with a budget of approximately $15 million. Created an excel sheet of each SKU, color, cost, price, and quantity for the Planning Director of boys clothing to then use in the buy meetings with vendors. Attended 5 vendor meetings where my supervisor would conduct the buy using my findings.• Investigated socioeconomic and cultural trends within certain regions of the country based on past purchase behavior to then create an assortment architecture specific to that customer base in the region to maximize profits in each climate. • Collaborated with multiple departments to create a growth strategy for the Macys mobile app to engage younger customers and advertise to non-customers by analyzing app usage in certain geographic areas, ages, and gender. Presented our project to upper level executives including the Director of Business Development. Planned to bring in $500,000 in profit after first phase.
