Advance Local consists of ten media groups across the country, which use the production department's creative services to build both print and digital advertisements that run in their newspapers and on their websites. As Supervisor of Ad Trafficking, I communicated with sales representatives, graphic designers, prepress, and fulfillment teams to ensure the ad production process executed smoothly. Working with the marketing team, I contributed to both internal and external marketing efforts through content development. Duties: • Wrote and revised content for clients and MarketNet (e.g. whitepapers, blog posts) • Composed copy, subject lines, and preheaders for email marketing campaigns • Designed mockups for emails, landing pages, and web pages via Adobe Photoshop • Created images for use on social media, MarketNet's website, and email campaigns using Adobe Photoshop • Updated lead records in Marketo • Pulled campaign reports from Marketo analytics • Analyzed campaign reports to improve future campaigns • Managed MarketNet's social media accounts • Reorganized and rewrote content on MarketNet's website • Assisted with design strategy for MarketNet's new website

New York Minute Magazine (NYMM) is a completely digital magazine that publishes short articles which can be read in a "New York minute." NYMM focuses on empowering women and encourages young adults to fall in love with the written language.As Lead Editor, I was the last-round editor of articles before they are published. Along with the other Lead Editor, I managed the writers and editors and participated in team brainstorms for improving the magazine. I began my internship just as the magazine was shifting vision, changing website hosts, and launching a new website. I conducted content strategy for the overall website and worked with the tech team to solve WordPress issues. I also performed content management, which involved uploading articles to WordPress, setting SEO keywords, finding pictures to accompany articles, and scheduling the publication.

I assisted the three Office Assistants in the Seidman Dean's Office by answering phones, filing documents, making copies, and other office procedures. I also proofread articles to be published in the Seidman Business Review and wrote an article to encourage donors to continue their support for the Seidman College.

At the Creative Youth Center (CYC), my main project was editing the children's work for publication in their annual anthology, The Book of Explosions. I also put together the monthly newsletter, compiled a narrative history of the organization, and co-led an in-classroom workshop, among other projects.

I edited student-written articles for publication in the Grand Valley Journal of History. I worked with 7 other students under the guide of Professor Cataldo. We created our own vision and standards for the 2015 issue of the journal.
