I currently work as an Environmental Scientist I in RK&K's Natural Resources Department. I conduct natural resource assessments, including forest stand, wetland, and waterway delineations, and prepares Natural Resource Inventory and Forest Stand Delineation (NRI/FSD) reports, and environmental permitting applications. I am responsible for GIS environmental background research and mapping, post-processing fieldwork data, and agency coordination. Additionally, I assist with design work for constructed wetland and shoreline projects.

During my time at Designgreen, I helped with a variety of projects ranging from community outreach and event planning, social media management and report drafting. I helped manage participant enrollment and status for DOEE's Green Roof Rebate Program and drafted the FY23 report for the program. I planned multiple trainings and community events including the opening of DC's newest Malcolm X trail and BMP trainings in collaboration with the Neighborhood Design Center. I also created and managed social media content across three platforms.

I have served as the secretary for the University of Maryland American Ecological Engineering Society (AEES) student chapter for 2 years. As secretary and member of the executive board, I am responsible for communicating with members about activities and meeting dates, taking club notes and helping organize club meetings and campus events. Additionally, I have served as the Algal ‘Terp’ Scrubber (ATS) project leader. The ATS is a large scale project proposed by former AEES students to remove excess nitrogen and phosphorus from a campus storm water detention pond. As project leader, I held weekly meetings to boost member engagement, communicated with involved professors and facilities project managers about project funding, and designed and built a small scale ATS model.

The Mapping Salty Soils Project in Dr. Kate Tully's lab researches the impacts of saltwater intrusion and elevation on crop fields in the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Along with fellow interns, I helped collect around 750 soil samples across pre-selected agricultural sites in Dorchester and Cambridge counties. I analyzed samples for electrical conductivity and worked with a fellow intern to create a poster of the research results. I presented at UMD's AGNR Innovation Night and Undergraduate Research Day and plan to attend and present at the American Ecological Engineering Society Conference this summer.

As Ripple intern, I participated in water systems meetings and helped with water pump calculations. With the guidance of Elizabeth O'Keefe Markham and Joe Garner I created basemaps of Ripple in ArcMap. I also worked with Matt Lagomarsino to update the Ripple basemap in Adobe Illustrator.
