IBM purchased Truven in 2016.As a trainer for data management onboarding, I developed test database to aid in training/onboarding new data managers and collaborated with other functional areas to implement, build, and test the database. During this time, I developed onboarding program, including training documents, handouts, and PowerPoints. I also provided training to more junior employees on database update processes and custom projects and supported resolution of data issues.Some key initiatives and accomplishments include:► Acted as data security manager and first line of support for security-related questions around HIPAA; encrypted and decrypted data for use in data investigation. ► Assisted with creation of an extract for customer that was needed for a potential contract renewal.► Engaged with diverse stakeholders and gathered information needed to setup 5 databases for training purposes, delivering databases and training materials to support self-paced employee learning without impacting production environment and ensuring compliance with audit protocol.► Filled a gap in new employees’ training materials that involved value add work, like new data feeds and associated processes. Developed training materials, examples, and tips & tricks sheets and shared the multiple steps involved with new data feed to accelerate training and support the work of the next 15 data managers. This involved data intake, EDT setup, layout setup, raw database testing, ETL implementation, database testing, and more.
