Emily is an experienced public health practitioner with an interest in community development, engagement and public policy. Emily has worked within the non-profit sector, in a diverse range of roles, and more recently moving into local government. Emily is passionate about developing better policies for health and wellbeing that are inclusive, and benefit our diverse communities. Emily has demonstrated skills in stakeholder engagement, project management, strategic planning, and public speaking. Emily has obtained a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Melbourne and written a minor thesis about Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander women's experiences in the healthcare system during pregnancy and postpartum. She is also a member of the Public Health Association, Australia.Emily is interested in understanding how our environments shape community interaction, public health and engagement. She is curious about how we can better develop public policies, collaborate and activate community spaces for improved public health and wellbeing. Emily acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land and waters on which she lives and works, the Bunurong and pays respect to Elders past, present and future.
