Master Carpenter
CurrentResponsibilities include: - Works with the greater Scenery and Props department, and is responsible for preserving and maintaining all elements of the set design within the various venues of the McKittrick Hotel to the quality of the design intention. - Responsible for preserving the good condition of all scenic and prop elements and ensuring they are in successful operating order. - Oversees a team of carpenters, maintaining a safe and functional workspace during daily, load-in, and strike calls. - Oversees tool maintenance, and responds to scenic notes as they arise while remaining in compliance with local, state and federal regulations. - Constructs technical drafting and design of set pieces, and informs carpentry staff how to properly execute tasks. - Performs regular rigging inspections and maintenance. - Schedule all scenic carpentry projects, carpenters, and overhires. - Responsible for tracking multiple budgets for various productions and filing of receipts. - Works with department heads to create innovative solutions to longevity and logistical challenges. - Has worked on multiple productions within the McKittrick Hotel including; Sleep No More, Speakeasy Magick, Hypnotique, At The Illusionist's Table, The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart, The Woman in Black, and more.
