Introduce and explain basic musical theory concepts; Coordinate music around holidays and special events with teachers; Teach students to recognize beats and rhythm; Teach students how to lead basic music timing and patterns, leading in 4, 3, and 2; Teach students to listen to music and identify patterns and basic instruments. Teach students to recognize instruments and the musical families to which they belong. Teach basic musical counting and musical terms. Research past and present musicians, music mediums, instruments, time-frames, styles, and techniques for music lessons; Encourage joy through musical expression, listening, and experiences.
