During these years, there were several reorganisations in Ascendas, then renamed as Ascendas-Singbridge & CapitaLand currently. I started working in a new role and responsibilities in 2015, under Centre of Excellence (COE), known as Real Estate Development & Services. This department is different from my previous business development or investment units. I worked with colleagues with different skill sets and during, these years, I reported to Chief Real Estate Development Officer (CREDO), Dy Chief Development Officer (DCDO) & Chief Development Planning Officer (CPO). At our recent M&A (my 3rd one!), I am currently with Project Development & Design Management (Singapore & International). I continue to perform well in my role and responsibilities as a Personal Assistant (PA) with additional portfolio in project development work. These are valuable learning journey for me, and I will continue to adopt the attitude to learn from others and improve my skillset and knowledge for better progression.

My years of experience in Ascendas has enabled me to better understand internal customer needs and able to identify suitable external strategic partnership opportunities to match to internal customer requirements. As a centralised contact point in building partnership, all internal customer needs were rolled up into a single point of contact, thereby reducing duplicate effort by individual Countries. These helped Ascendas to save precious time and money while I helped to weed out weak partners to allow the Countries to focus on the execution. I facilitated the initial link up of potential strategic partners to various Country Ops. Through my strong relationship with potential strategic partners, I was able to gain insights into their investment mandate and risk appetite. In this regard, I was able to offer advice to Country Operation and assist to sharpen their clarity on partnership opportunities. This will help Ascendas to create a winning partnership that lasts. One of the business partners we spearheaded was Mitsui & Co, and till today, they are still with us!I was able to put partners at ease and comfortable to share more of their thought process. In building a close relationship, it will assist Country Ops to reduce time spent in cultivating the relationship till birth of the partnership. I was the bridge or matchmaker with a strong knowledge of internal customer needs.I was sensitive and able to accurately read into partners' preferences like food, places of interest, hobbies, etc. I was also resourceful to delight partners by meeting the preferences at the right time and right place. I was attentive to details, both internal protocol and rules of engagement.

In the years working within ASCENDAS, I have been a Personal Assistant (PA) to EVPs, Country CEOs, Group COO, Biz Unit CEOs & many different CEOs. They were all very nice and good mentors to me. We worked very well together. I went through organisation changes every 2 to 3 years and was flexible and adaptable to different bosses & departments. This made me very flexible to accept changes and works easily. Many people are afraid of changes, in fact I welcome them because I am open and willing to learn different skills & things from many different mentors.

My First job after graduating from the Secretary Course, started off as an Admin Executive cum Secretary with the Finance & Admin Department. I reported to the F&A Mgr, Senior Manager & General Manager during this period. I enjoyed this journey and am grateful to be given opportunities during this young age.

It was very good training for me during this period I started off as a promoter and always achieved top sales. In a short period, I was offered to do marketing of a new product. I meet up with different companies to promote our new range of products. I also organized events with models advertising the products during high tea sessions in hotels.This is a short learning journey for me, and I am blessed to have been exposed to marketing and promotion a lot. This job boosts my confidence in sales, in facing potential customers, meeting difficult customers (best teacher) and networking with people in all kind of works. This is indeed an awesome learning journey and provide me with a strong fundamental in my career ahead!
