I am currently employed with Ariya Neuro Care as a Rehabilitation Support Worker to provide responsive, person centred, and kindly neuro therapeutic support. We work in partnership with the individual, their therapists and family so that they achieve progression in their rehabilitation, fulfil their goals, maintain their independence and fulfil their quality of life within their own homes and between two residential facilities containing 7-10 service users. I have received extensive condition-specific training, including acquired brain injuries, diabetes, epilepsy awareness and buccal midazolam administration, pressure care management as well as professional training including but not limited to safeguarding, GDPR, COSHH documentation, controlled drugs, diversity and equality, care certificate standards and assessment of mental capacity/DOLS. I am also a MSc Health Psychology and BSc Psychology with Criminology graduate. Although, I have some experience within support for people 18+ with an acquired brain injury using a neuro-psychological and theurapuetic model, my career ambition is to work within research and data analysis due to wanting to further my knowledge. I have consistently chosen challenging modules and topics that have developed my key psychological knowledge and ability to synthesis and disseminate literature producing high-quality submissions while complying to all deadlines.
