As coordinator, I keep records of the cases labeled as high-risk for Houston and Pasadena, Texas and provide updates when defendants are booked, on bond, or have reoffended. I prepare content for meetings between the District Attorney's office, Pasadena police department, and various agencies in the greater Houston area that are designed to assist victims of domestic abuse. I also help determine if individuals qualify for protective orders through our office and assist in filling out the proper forms.

As well as monitoring vital signs, food intake, and family calls/visits. After the COVID-19 outbreak in our facility (June 15th, 2020), I moved to the COVID ward. I was responsible for the aforementioned duties and for ensuring that protocol for infectious diseases was followed by the patients. I also implemented a method of organization to more effectively store used Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during the nationwide PPE shortage.

Court-appointed special advocates (CASA) is a program that ensures that children who have been the victim of abuse and neglect will have a voice in the courtroom. Through the Americorps’ Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) program, I worked with CASA in DeRidder, Louisiana. I created sustainable events that could easily be repeated to increase recruitment and raise awareness of this program in the community. I assisted in the organization of a luggage drive and planning a community-wide block party. I also designed new billboard wraps, yard signs, and information cards.
