In 2021, I graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a BA in Psychology, minor in Sociology, Public Health Certificate, and Pre-Nursing Designation. After graduation, I worked for the Academy for Precision Learning (APL) for almost three years as a Certified Behavior Technician. During this time, I began my education at Antioch University Seattle. I am currently working towards becoming a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I recently began practicum at my university, meaning I have completed all core academic courses and can now begin supervised practice while continuing my coursework. I work at Antioch's Community Counseling and Psychology Clinic where I provide individual therapy to clients. In addition, I am volunteering for the Program for Early Parent Support (PEPS) as a group facilitator. In order to maintain focus on my classes, clinic clients, and volunteer position, I left my position at APL.Cultural competency, social justice, and continued education are critical components of my professional career and personal life. I am deeply passionate about addressing climate change and promoting sustainability, advancing racial justice, raising awareness and acceptance around mental health, championing gender equality and diversity, and celebrating cultural heritage. As a counselor, I wish to begin my career working in a community setting. My population of interest includes adolescents and young adults of the neurodivergent community and/or at-risk youth.
