As a passionate professional, I bring together my dedication to community development, relations management, education, and writing to support community-based initiatives, education, and career training. With over five years of experience in project management, non-profit administration, teaching, and program management, I have successfully taught English Composition at the university and high school level, managed teams of community & student volunteers, assisted with the launch of the Levelup Tech Accelerator at the SSU Kricker Innovation Hub (KIH), coordinated & helped expand SSU KIH programs such as Portsmouth Ignite Business Pitch Competition-Shawnee Game Conference-and the Entrepreneurial Fellowship Program, participated in university grant research & writing initiatives, and facilitated economic growth & improving educational opportunities in the Appalachian region. by focusing on access to education, growing tech skills, developing career training & upskilling opportunities with an emphasis on disadvantaged populations across Southern Ohio & Kentucky.As a Community Coordinator for AmeriCorps Vista at the Center on Rural Innovation (CORI), I am deeply involved in implementing community-based initiatives and programs that facilitate tech job growth in the Portsmouth community. These initiatives are designed to reduce poverty, increase access to tech education & workforce training, and promote civic engagement. I am proud that Vista & KIH staff efforts have led to a 38% increase in program participation at the SSU Kricker Innovation Hub, further developed and facilitated 24 educational/training workshop & event opportunities for Scioto County residents, empowered 2,255 individual community members through work training and upskilling workshops, programs, & events, and fostered overall economic growth in our community. I bring my skills in community relations management, event planning, and supervision to the table, collaborating with stakeholders, partners, and volunteers to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the services provided. I am motivated by the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of others and contribute to the social and economic development of the communities I serve.
