This role requires me to organise and implement weekend trips around the country, so people can enjoy rock climbing in amazing parts of the country.My job involves booking huts and minibuses, ensuring we have insurance and organising food for the entire weekend. If necessary I organise experienced climbers to work with and advise the new member to the club; this part is especially important during the first few weekends of the academic year. As well as all this I make sure everyone has the appropriate gear needed in order to be safe while rock climbing for the weekend and ensure that it is all returned when we come home.

Our team was given the project of helping the Southampton Volunteers Young Carers project, in further raising awareness and increasing their volunteer list so they could accept for young carers into the program. We were asked by the charity to look into plausible themes and ideas for an annual event that they could do for the community of young carers. Also to look into other methods of raising awareness. As a team we thought what they had a solid base of advertisement already in place all it needed was a few improvement's. during the presentation we offered them an improved version of their leaflet as well as advise on how to use their Facebook and twitter pages to their full potential. In regards to the annual event ideas, we provided a family sports day idea with lots of information stalls and stands, or a mini music festival full of local bands and artists. These ideas were all supported by research and accounting profiles to prove that they were both cost effective and plausible for the charity to achieve. The charity were thoroughly pleased with the advise and plan to follow our advise in order to improve there charity program.
