In the summer of 2018, Bet Tzedek signed on to lead SPA 5 services for the Legal Services Preventing and Ending Homelessness Collaborative, a consortium of the region’s top public interest law firms addressing the homelessness crisis through on-the-ground legal aid. Advocate on behalf of clients on housing matters, eviction defense, and issues endemic to poverty including but not limited to record clearing, immigration status, debt relief, asset forfeiture, and benefits.

Program managed Project 100, a pilot to improve and address housing and racial equity outcomes for 100 women of color experiencing homelessness in Skid Row by streamlining access to housing and services, improving the capacity of Los Angeles's housing providers, strengthening the permanent supportive housing component of the Coordinated Entry System (CES), and meeting the individual needs of all women served, with the goal of creating a scalable model. Public policy work focused on shaping housing and homelessness policy at the state and local level by supporting partners in advocacy efforts, systems change, and taking advantage of policies and programs that increase affordable housing and reduce homelessness.

Oversaw and implemented the Mayor's strategy to solve homelessness and housing instability in Los Angeles by providing legal and policy support.

Working as part of Mayor Eric Garcetti's Central Command Team to address homelessness and other complex administration priorities.

Represent a variety of parole-eligible state prisoners in California. Prepare clients to testify at parole hearings and draft submissions to the California Parole Board. Draft habeas petitions challenging parole denials. Represent inmates sentenced to life without parole as juveniles at their resentencing hearings.

Participated in legislative and regulatory process and policy advocacy regarding juvenile justice issues including advocating and lobbying for the promulgation of Proposition 57 regulations and for the passage of the "Montgomery " and "Miranda- Young Adult" Senate Bills

Lobbied the California Legislature on behalf of criminal justice bills concerning harsh sentencing enhancements, bail reform, crimigration, safe consumption spaces, and asset forfeiture. Serviced the community by working expungement clinics in the implementation of Proposition 64. Liaison to the Office of Diversion and Reentry.

Researched and drafted memoranda regarding an impactful California Supreme Court decision. Summarized evidence for trial preparation. Assisted in complying with discovery requests. Observed trials.

Participated in a multi-disciplinary clinical program designed to train students to become effective advocates for defendants. Assisted in a sentence reduction project for over five hundred drug offenders in light of new sentencing guidelines. Prepared memorandum for attorneys in preparation for trial.
