I'm a senior at North Carolina State University double majoring in Science, Technology, & Society and Mechanical Engineering. Science, Technology, & Society (STS) is a new program at NC State, investigating the relationships between innovations and the populations they impact, through interdisciplinary coursework. I've always been fascinated by the way things fit together — my engineering degree covers the physical explanations for technologies, and STS discusses the way the technologies interact with people and systems. My group won the award for the Most Creative Pitch at the Dolphin Tank event hosted by the BioMADE program.
