Prospects is a Christian organisation that seeks to serve Christ by providing a Christian home or distinctive Christian environment to people with learning disabilities, which both ministers to any declared spiritual needs and which values and supports them so that they live their lives to the full.As a support worker I support and empower people with learning disabilities to live the life they have chosen for themselves and support them in activities in which they want to participate.

I supervised and took care of the children during the lunchtime period in all areas inside and outside of the school. I would also lead and encourage outside play activities and give basic first aid to children when they fell over.

I provided support / assistance in the smooth day-to-day running of the After School Care Club. I supervised the children from Nursery to Year 6 who attended this facility after school and provided a happy environment that promotes excellent social skills, good behaviour and a balanced education through creative play.

Connect is a youth and schools work project based in Mid Devon. It provides the learning opportunity for youth workers just starting on their journey, and providing support and a sense of community to the young people that may be struggling with their faith, or wanting to grow further in the tough teenage years.A vital part of Connect is reaching out to young people that are so spread out due to the landscape of rural Mid Devon. As a Connect worker I spent a great deal of time travelling to as many youth clubs and Churches as well as Chulmleigh Community College to help the young people feel supported both in their college and in their own communities. I would provide lesson support, extra curricular activities and run youth groups.

All Saints' is an Anglican church in the Diocese of Leicester, serving the people in this North Western region of Loughborough. An active evangelical church, we have a church family that is an effective mix of ages, from the very young to the much more senior in years and we value greatly the contribution each brings to our worship, outreach and service.As an intern I served the Church community by helping run and lead several of the youth groups and other events in the church including those for the elderly. I also helped set up for the Sunday morning services and used the powerpoint presentation of the service.

I worked here as a Summer job before I went to University.
