I am a highly motivated and driven member of the Energy Queensland Substation Design and Engineering team. I am constantly striving to seek out new opportunities to develop both professionally and personally, and aspire to lead by example through my actions. I have excellent time management, communication, prioritisation and negotiation skills as a result of my broad corporate exposure to date, and pride myself on my ability work effectively as an individual and member of my team to add value to the business.I am a BSc/BE (Hons) graduate with majors in electrical engineering and physics. I am a project estimator, responsible for the delivery of professional estimating services for the Energy Queensland Substation Portfolio.I was previously a substation design engineer working in the South East design team, responsible for the delivery of safe, effective and efficient design solutions for High Voltage substation design projects. Prior to my time in the substation design and engineering group I was a graduate electrical engineer at Energy Queensland, consisting of 6 month rotations across the business. In my fifth and final rotation I worked in DC power systems on the neighbourhood battery trial. I had previously completed rotations in subtransmission planning, substation design, network operations and engineering field support.I took part in the Australian Power Institute (API) Powerful Women in Leadership Program (PWLP) in 2022 where I gained valuable experience as both a mentor and a mentee alongside other women in the power industry. I am a passionate advocate for women in STEM and encouraging flexible working arrangements to support families balance their careers and personal lives.
