MLEE JEAN is environmentally conscious clothing created by me (Emily Thomas). Home-made and naturally-dyed. MLEE JEAN focuses strongly on material colour and the exploration of textile dyes through natural chemical reactions. Heavy material research to have has been undertaken to develop pigment dyes. All colours created entirely from natural fruits and veggies, eliminating the use of toxic chemicals and creating awareness of water pollution. Created gender-neutral patterns developed and designed to accomodate many different body shapes. Mlee jean focuses on attention to detail, quality control and sample fittings to create various garments that accommodate various different body shapes. MLEE JEAN focus heavily on inclusiveness and expressing ones-self through gender-neutral silhouettes. In 2021 MLEE JEAN showcased 'MOTO-X' in M/FW (Melbourne Fashion Week) Student Runway. Naturally-dyed and made from recycled materials. MOTO-X is inspired by Emily's Families motocross heritage and Family- run motocross shop (K&Thomas Whittlesea motorcycles est.1967). The Collection features recycled motorcycle parts, protective gear and motorbike chain-links as closures. This collection has been made from recycled materials and Natural-dyes. MOTO-X is gender-neutral. Nostalgic graphics and prints created by Emily on Photoshop. My 'Metamorphosis' collection was showcased in 'CRES Sustainable fashion runway' in 2019. MLEE JEAN natural-dyed creations are one-of-kind. I have created sell-out collections at Design-A-Space, Brunswick Street Fitzroy in 2020. , made by hand using recycled materials and natural-dyes.Passionate about creating quality clothing, MLEE JEAN is made for conscious consumers.
