Southerly WWTP Organics Receiving and Bioenergy Utilization Facility City of Columbus DOSD, Columbus, Ohio: Supported the design of the Organics Receiving Facility pumping systems, mixing systems, storage tanks, and back up heating system. Led the development of the preliminary design report, coordinated the field investigation effort including geotechnical services, co-authored a technical memo on solutions to fugitive methane emissions at the plant, authored a technical memo evaluating the need for a new main switching station, and led an evaluation of biosolids handling capacity. Organized contractor questions and coordinated with engineers to develop answers.Southerly WWTP Digester Process Expansion – Phase 2, City of Columbus DOSD, Columbus, OH: Provided preliminary design support for digestion process area improvements including new pumps, VFDs, and acid-phase digester covers. Coordinated a field investigation of fugitive methane emissions at floating digester covers and solids handling facilities using multiple sampling methods including drone flux measurement, an OGI camera, and discrete measurement.Asset Management Program Support, Louisville Metropolitan Sewer District, Louisville, KY:Coordinated the on-site effort to inventory, condition assess, and label assets at the client’s WQTCs, pump stations, and flood stations. Assisted in the development of tactical asset management plans (TAMPs), risk assessments, and rehabilitation and renewal recommendations. Worked closely with the client to review and develop job plans and asset class plans to be integrated into the client’s IPS.

Assisted with potable water system checks, chlorine analyzer calibration, and data entry for the on site UF and DAF wastewater pre-treatment systems. Compiled monthly wastewater, industrial water, and energy usage for accounting and management purposes. Administered stormwater training to employees and on site contractors. Identified chemicals to be included in the annual Toxic Release Inventory (TRI). Updated the facility's Spill Prevention and Control Countermeasures and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SPCC-SWPPP) and created a compliance checklist for each department that identified stormwater, Title V, GHS, and RCRA compliance items; due dates; and the submission process.

Created an approval presentation involving preliminary weight estimations and layout design for cafeteria composting. The project was approved and completed the following year.

Assisted staff engineers with tasks including sanitary sewer improvement plan review, site review, flow data analysis, commercial tap fee calculations, and customer interaction. Responsible for monthly sampling at four wastewater treatment plants and analyzing samples for nutrient concentrations to ensure permit compliance. Utilized ArcGIS to locate parcels with household sewage treatment systems (HSTS) that could feasibly connect to the sewer, mapped out potential lateral paths, and completed preliminary cost estimations. Presented findings at an interdepartmental meeting.

Educated tailgaters about proper recycling procedure and increased the waste diversion rate in the university tailgate lots from 2% to 24% in three months. Managed a group of volunteers who worked inside of the stadium for the Zero Waste Team.

Complied data from respondents, analyzed it, and made suggestions to heighten customer satisfaction and increase recycling participation among target demographics. Composed a report for the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency that outlined site improvements made with grant funds and prepared a press release announcing the acquisition of additional grant funds.
