- Strategically plan departmental initiatives and effectively manage daily operations of VCC's Learning Centre (10 staff, two campuses, four subject areas) including budgeting, hiring, training, and evaluation with an emphasis on best practices in learning strategies and customer service. - Successfully transitioned all Learning Centre academic services online in response to COVID-19- Developed institution-wide free online course on resume and cover letter writing in Moodle using a variety of H5P activities- Identified and implemented new software for online appointment booking after 40 years of operating with paper schedules. Sessions included concept review, practice questions, and study strategies. Supervised 15-20 students per lab course with instruction on lab safety, technique, and key experimental concepts while facilitating 5-6 experiments in parallel. Created and implemented standardized rubrics for lab reports in 3rd/4th year analytical labs. Instrumentation used included: GC-MS, Ion Exchange Chromatography, Flame Absorption Spectrometry, Absorption Spectroscopy, and HPLC.

Worked for Dr. Allan Bertram, Dr. Michael Blades, and Dr. John Hepburn to build and test a new single particle, ion trap mass spectrometer for atmospheric particle studies. Involved IR desorption, EI ionization, and VUV ionization.
