• Full-time role providing technical support on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and climate change adaptation to the Emergencies Team in the UNICEF India Country Office.
• Designed, prepared and delivered trainings on Child-Centred Risk Assessments to government officials from across the SAARC region.
• Managed numerous disaster and climate change-related research projects and edited final publications.

• Directed a programme for boys in need of care and protection, placed in residential care on Indian court orders. Managed all aspects of the programme, including the budget and a team of eight staff.
• Promoted more effective implementation of the programme, including restructuring the team of staff, initiating staff training and drafting an operational guide for the organisation.
• Supported team to develop a community-based outreach program to strengthen families and prevent risk of family separation and institutionalisation of children.

• Led a multi-agency study on the achievements and challenges of implementing child-centred DRR across more than 35 countries.
• Facilitated consultations with children and adolescents in a drought-prone region in Ethiopia.
• Produced a report outlining findings which was widely used as a lobbying tool on child-centred DRR.

• Developed technical guidance on DRR for UNICEF programme sectors.
• Provided technical support to UNICEF’s Country and Regional Offices to mainstream DRR across their programmes, including drafting written guidance and delivering trainings.

Carried out consultancies on child rights for a number of national and international NGOs, whilst based in Delhi, India, including ActionAid India, HAQ: Centre for Child Rights and the India Alliance for Child Rights.
