Since calling to the Scottish Bar, Emily has quickly developed a thriving practice.She is regularly instructed in proofs relating to children matters including adoption, financial provision upon divorce, and adults with incapacity in both the Sheriff Court and the Court of Session. She is regularly instructed in international family law cases including child abduction (under the Hague Convention and also involving non Hague Convention countries), financial provision with overseas clients and property. She has experience dealing with complex child contact cases involving parental alienation, domestic violence, and child abuse. She has experience dealing with intra-UK cases in all areas of family law. Emily is a committee member of the Faculty’s Law Reform Committee and the Treasurer of the Advocates' Family Law Association. She is also a member of the Family Law Association.
