I was a field study intern in the dietetics office at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery. I assisted two Registered Dietitians with both in-patient and out-patient engagements, which included diet intervention for weight loss, diet management for chronic disease, calculating intravenous feeding methods, inputting computer data, and assisting in determination of action plans.

I was an undergraduate teaching assistant for the Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise major at Virginia Tech in the fall semester of 2021. I specifically worked in HNFE 1114, First Year Seminar. I worked with first year HNFE students and assisted them with scheduling, making their 4-year education plan, and providing them with tips on how to succeed throughout their time in HNFE. I also provided insight on how to navigate their first year of college, and functioned as a resource for any questions they may have now and in the future.
