Im 32 years old, a mother of a 6 year old, a fitness model, a featured athlete for a company online and a full time University student studying my Journalism BA (Hons) Degree.Im also addicted to weight training, so my life is pretty hectic fitting all of this in!Ive always wanted to compete in a bodybuilding competition but never knew where to start or had the confidence to actually train with weights in a gym. Ive always been small, (short and skinny!), and like many women, I felt intimidated walking into a gym full of big, grunting men! I was lucky enough to find my current gym and PT in September just gone. Its a real 'bodybuilders gym' - not your typical chain, and its full of people with similar goals who are friendly, not intimidating in the slightest and always willing to help if you need it. I have managed to learn a lot and grow in my knowledge of training - I now train with confidence either alone or with a friend. Ive learnt that its not about how heavy you lift compared to others, its about lifting what's challenging for YOU. I train four days a week in-between Uni - I dont currently do any cardio as Im naturally low in body fat and I struggle to put size on. Im either planning on entering a bikini competition later on this year, or maybe holding out to build some size, and compete in a physique/body fitness competition in the next couple of years. I model for various different companies in the fitness clothing area. Which is handy as gym apparel is another passion of mine. I have over forty pairs of gym leggings! And Im addicted to stringers, sports bras and trackie bottoms seeing as I spend nearly every day wearing them! And as funny as it may sound, I think it makes me more confident and train harder if I feel comfortable and I look good in my workout gear. I dont believe Im alone in thinking this - and that's why being an Ambassador for Wearwolf Clothing really interested me.
