Emily Green is a Master's student in sociology at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), with a focus on human rights and politics. She holds a Bachelor's degree in political science and gender studies from the University of Manitoba, where she graduated with First Class Honours and received multiple scholarships for academic excellence. She has a strong background in gender studies, social sciences, and academic research, and is passionate about exploring the intersections of identity, culture, and power in society.As an undergraduate research assistant at the University of Manitoba, Emily completed a self-directed project on the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and its relationship to Indigenous rights. She worked independently to conduct a literature review, write an analysis, and liaise with the Museum and the Political Studies department. She developed excellent writing and editing skills, as well as critical thinking and analytical abilities, through interdisciplinary humanities research. Emily also gained valuable experience communicating complex ideas and managing multiple tasks and deadlines. She is eager to apply my skills and knowledge to contribute to growing research about global inequalities and subcultures, and is currently seeking a position in the journalism, publishing, and editorial field.Seeking full time employment in the charity, research, or journalism sector for Fall 2024.
