Born with a curiosity to understand more, I have always been fascinated with life. This fascination turned into determination at the time of my father's Squamous Cell Carcinoma diagnosis in 2005. Since then, I have wanted to understand everything there is to know about the human body, down to the cellular level.Upon graduation from the Maine School of Science and Mathematics, I went on to study Biology and Health Science at Franklin Pierce University. Under the mentorship of many amazing professors, my understanding and curiosity for life flourished.Graduating Magna Cum Laude, I began working as Behavioral Health professional, working for children with developmental and emotional disabilities. At the same time, I worked at IDEXX Laboratories in their Clinical Chemistry department, running ELISA assays on whole blood separators. During this time, I realized that I needed my lifestyle to match my work environment. I needed to be living and working a lifestyle of health.I got involved in my community, volunteering my time to various health and arts projects. I also began working for an organization called The Pickup, aimed at connecting Maine farms to Maine people. The Pickup's mission benefits the environment, food system, and individuals of the central Maine area.I am an independent associate with USANA Health Sciences, a nutritional supplement company aimed at optimal cellular health. Their commitment to quality, cutting edge research, and vision of true health inspire me and are in alignment with my goals. I also offer sacred movement through Qoya. Qoya is a modality combining dance, yoga and sensual movement. The practice reminds women that all the answers are within, finding what feels good in the body. Once a woman remembers her essence through movement, she can navigate her way through life, finding what decisions resonate in the same way. I lead group classes and work with clients one-on-one to develop personal movement rituals.
