Miami University Alumni of 2024. This May, I graduated with an M.A. in Political Science. During my undergraduate studies, I completed a B.A. in Political Science with minors in Arabic and Middle Eastern, Islamic, and Jewish studies.Through an internship with the U.S. Department of State, I was selected as a cultural and linguistic specialist to research barriers to youth entrepreneurship in Saudi Arabia. A research report with policy recommendations was written for the U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, for a year and a half, I was employed through Miami University's Department of Comparative Religion as a student researcher. In this, I process 1,800 Arabic-language PDFs into Word Documents using PDF conversion software, using my knowledge of Middle East and Islamic studies, as well as research proficiency in the Arabic language to identify errors in Arabic typography and categorize documents. Moreover, by joining the organization Model Arab League, through the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations, I have gained a deeper understanding of complex regional dynamics, diplomacy, and report writing, as well as honing my written and verbal communication skills. My passion for studying Arabic, the politics of the Middle East, and international relations inspires me to continue to seek out new professional opportunities to further my experience and knowledge in these fields.
