I served as a Graduate Research Assistant in Dr. Laura Mattie's Development in Neurogenetic Disorders Lab, focusing on transcription and language coding using SALT software.

I collaborated with the University of Illinois Psychology department to provide access to comprehensive autism evaluations to children from a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds across Illinois. I administered and scored assessment protocols to determine if there were any concerns with speech and language, interpreting and delivering this information to the assessment team and the families.

As a tutor with ARAC, I assisted students with math and literacy classwork with the guidance of the classroom teacher, incorporating a variety of activities into the tutoring sessions to reinforce classroom objectives and ideas. As an intern at the Charlotte TEACCH Center, I have observed evaluations for autism in early intervention, school-aged, and adult clients, and assisted staff during the 5-day Summer Classroom Training. During the classroom training, I learned the TEACCH methods of working with students on the spectrum and ensured that staff had the support they needed while training participants.

At the Durham Child Development and Behavioral Health Clinic, I worked directly with Dr. Gail Spiridigliozzi and assisted with entering data, filing, and organizing patient records.
