Oversees district gifted and talented education K-12; provides leadershipand ensures district compliance with statutes and regulations forcategories of intellectual, specific academic, creativity, leadership, andvisual and performing arts.

Supervise, manage, and coordinate the activities regarding business and communitypartnerships, volunteers, parental involvement, and public relations.

Attend ESL conferences/professional development. Generate reports required by the state. Communicate with eSchool/APSCN coordinator concerning information needed for eSchool. Maintain records for ESL students. Organize and administer the state language assessment annually to all ESL students according to Arkansas Department of Education guidelines. Collaborate with teachers concerning the instructional needs of the ESL students and scaffolding instruction. Provide language support to students.

Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help themfulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable studentsto develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
