About Emily Greene
While at Augusta State University, I received a Bachelor's Degree in Art, focusing on photography, painting, and ceramics, with a minor in Music, concentrating on the violoncello. Aside from those skills, I have 15+ years experience in theatre, both on- and offstage with various theatre companies in Georgia and South Carolina, including lead roles with The Augusta Players, The Young Artists Repertory Theatre, The Augusta Repertory Theatre, The Fort Gordon Dinner Theatre, the Augusta State University Theatre program, and The Aiken Community Playhouse. I was also a member of the Augusta State University Choir and Orchestra, served as Secretary of the Choir, and was Vice President of the Mad Potter's Organization in the art department. While volunteering with my family's Youth Theatre, I mentored children of all ages and helped coordinate productions and fundraising events. In 2010, I organized a successful counter-rally against the KKK which received state-wide media coverage, and in 2008, brought attention to deficiencies in Augusta University's Disability Handbook, which were subsequently changed to fit ADA requirements. Working for my previous employers, I have been able to use my creative and performing arts skills helping to coordinate events, establish and maintain various social media accounts, and successfully build a loyal client base. After a year of volunteering as a victim advocate at Rape Crisis and Sexual Assault Services, I joined as a full time employee as a Crisis Specialist and the Outreach Coordinator, where I assisted victims of sexual assault, promoted awareness in the community, lead classes, planned community events, and managed the agency’s social media pages. As the Court Victim Advocate for the Cumbee Center, I added to these skills through working with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.
Listed skills include Event Planning, Social Media, Public Relations, Art, and 30 others.
