I developed and implemented community-based health promotion and exposure prevention awareness programs for site-specific environmental hazards throughout the state of North Carolina. I also conducted community assessments of sites affected by environmental hazards to identify factors that place people at risk as well as assess and identified individual, organizational and community needs for environmental health education.

I coordinated, managed and recruited volunteers for the health department’s volunteer program. I applied for and manage several grants. I managed multiple women’s health programs aimed at providing low-income women access to breast and cervical cancer screening and diagnostic services as well as healthy lifestyle programs. I engaged in community outreach for various programs and acted as a community liaison. I served on a variety of committees and task forces. I also served as the Preparedness Coordinator and assisted with Emergency Preparedness efforts.

I planned, implemented and evaluated occupational health programs. I also engaged in community outreach and stakeholder engagement.

I engaged in community outreach and organization and I created a program to educate and bring awareness about nutrition and gardening for children and the aging population. I also created, distribute and evaluated an instrument to measure community garden participants’ health behaviors related to community gardening and I collaborated with the Atlanta Bike Coalition and created, disseminated and analyzed a survey to determine the success of their community garden bus and bike tour.

I put on interactive health presentations. I planned, implemented and evaluated a variety of health programs. I conducted HIV counseling and testing. I utilized social media channels to promote health programs and I recruited and managed volunteers.
