Hi! I thought I should introduce myself to any potential employers. My name is Emily Harris and I was employed with San Angelo Community Medical Center for (almost) 23 years. The first 12 of those years I spent as an admissions representative/registration clerk, primarily in the Emergency Department, but also covering the Lab, Main Admissions, and Day Surgery admissions. This job taught me how to multitask efficiently, collaborate with multiple departments, and provide exceptional customer service. Once I became an RN, I spent the next 11 years working as a charge nurse on the Women's Health unit. I provided care to not only antepartum and postpartum patients but also to newborns, female surgical patients, female medical patients, as well as male and female patients in Day Surgery, Med/Tele, PCU, and Pediatrics in my float rotation. I greatly enjoyed my time at SACMC and would still be employed there today had it not ceased to exist. The best thing about working there was the sense of belonging and family and how we all worked together to provide the best care to our patients but also took care of each other as well. I would love to be a part of another team with a great community spirit. If I don't have the exact experience you are looking for, I would still love to have a chance to learn and grow with you.
