Columbia, Missouri Area

During my time at KMIZ I had the opportunity to work on four different shows. I started as the 6 o'clock producer where I learned how to create exciting and important newscasts while gaining experience in breaking news. After showing my ability to handle one newscast I was given the 6:30 and 9:30 newscasts. While working on the 6:30 show I was able to tie its highest household rating of a 5 and set an all time high in share with a 12 in the November 2014 book. I then spent the rest of my time at ABC 17 working on the 5 o'clock newscast.

Greater St. Louis Area

During my internship at KSDK I worked at the assignment desk, in the sports department, and for Show Me St. Louis. There I learned how to use ENPS, wrote for the web, and had opportunities to write for broadcast. I was also able to accompany reporters and photographers on stories.
