In this position, I collected demographics and insurance information for all patients entering the Emergency Department, averaging over 50 patients a night. I also completed direct admissions to the hospital, hospice admits, and outpatient X-Ray andMRI check-ins. I also answered patient questions about billing and coverage and provided a quick and efficient check-in experience.

During the Spring semester, I was hired at my school’s clinic, Student Health Services where I answer the phones, help chart patients, file paperwork, and check patients in and out of their appointments. I also help run COVID testing on campus, withmywork aligning with the administrative side; collecting paperwork, and uploading data to the Utah State Health Department.

I was also on a steering committee that developed a teenage-focused voting initiative for schools, promoting civic engagement and increasing youth voter registration by 5%.I also actively participated in League meetings, providing detailed notes and contributing innovative ideas, fostering a collaborative environment.
