I am co-leading an early discovery collaboration project to identify an oral degrader for use in autoimmunity. In this position:I coordinate activities across small molecule screening, protein production, biochemistry, biophysics, structural biology, computational biology, medicinal chemistry & cell biology. I identify project risks, challenges & conflicts. I align with team experts, project advisors, project managers and alliance manager to put together mitigation plans & design solutions.I track assay requests, key results & ongoing activities in internal databases & spreadsheets to enable budget management & ensure achievement of key milestones in a timely fashion.I record and distribute meeting minutes so that all stakeholders are on the same page regarding key action items. I communicate results to key internal & external stakeholders through presentations, Gantt charts, budgeting discussions & Smartsheets updates.I work with our contracts department to set up MTA, SOW & MSA agreements for the project.

I co-developed a systematic method for reviewing & identifying novel E3 ligase target candidates for targeted protein degradation & degrader antibody conjugates. I consulted with colleagues to establish a set of key criteria and created a scorecard system for ranking targets of interest. Subsequently, I tracked >20 targets through protein production, screening, hit validation & structural biology. I coordinated activities across teams according to internal timelines, enabling the rapid identification of new binders to 5+ new targets for targeted protein degradation.

In this role, I was responsible for expressing & producing proteins from E. coli & baculovirus systems, directly contributing to the achievement of key project milestones for early discovery programs through interactions with cross-functional teams. I also oversaw protein production across multiple CROs, establishing work plans & tracking deliverables against timelines.

I collaborated with researchers across Harvard's Department of Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology to characterize the proteins and signals that control CRL2Lrr1 activity, through a combination of single-molecule microscopy and structural biology methods.

Boston, Massachusetts

In my thesis work, I identified the ubiquitin ligase, CRL2Lrr1, as a master regulator of replication termination, using a combination of protein biochemistry, in vitro reconstitution assays, and the cell-free Xenopus egg extract system.

Berkeley, Ca

I characterized a protease involved in prokaryotic organelle formation and maintenance in magnetotactic bacteria, using biochemical and genetic assays. This work resulted in an undergraduate honors thesis and a Best Poster award from the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology.
