I co-developed a systematic method for reviewing & identifying novel E3 ligase target candidates for targeted protein degradation & degrader antibody conjugates. I consulted with colleagues to establish a set of key criteria and created a scorecard system for ranking targets of interest. Subsequently, I tracked >20 targets through protein production.

In this role, I was responsible for expressing & producing proteins from E. coli & baculovirus systems, directly contributing to the achievement of key project milestones for early discovery programs through interactions with cross-functional teams. I also oversaw protein production across multiple CROs, establishing work plans & tracking deliverables.

I collaborated with researchers across Harvard's Department of Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology to characterize the proteins and signals that control CRL2Lrr1 activity, through a combination of single-molecule microscopy and structural biology methods.

In my thesis work, I identified the ubiquitin ligase, CRL2Lrr1, as a master regulator of replication termination, using a combination of protein biochemistry, in vitro reconstitution assays, and the cell-free Xenopus egg extract system.

I characterized a protease involved in prokaryotic organelle formation and maintenance in magnetotactic bacteria, using biochemical and genetic assays. This work resulted in an undergraduate honors thesis and a Best Poster award from the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology.
