Hello, my name is Emily Testa! I have recently earned my Provisional License as an Elementary Academic Teacher (1-6) through the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education!I am currently employed full-time at Freeman-Kennedy Elementary School in Norfolk, MA. I serve as an instructional assistant in a third-grade classroom where I help to facilitate learning and engagement to the students on IEPs. I am also a graduate student at Bridgewater State University, in the process of getting a Master’s of Elementary Education (initial licensure). I am aspiring to become a teacher to help students learn and grow, to positively impact their childhood, and to be the reason they love going to school everyday.In May 2023, I graduated from Fairfield University with a BA in Communication, and minors in Psychology and Marketing. I graduated Summa Cum Laude and as a member of Lambda Pi Eta-Epsilon Sigma. While studying at Fairfield, I was also a four-year student-athlete and two-year captain of the Cheerleading team, which really helped my time management, leadership, and discipline skills both inside and outside of the classroom.
