Profile bio

About Emily Nuncio Schick

With 12 years of experience in social justice education, community-based nonprofit work, and content writing, I am currently working full-time at a legal aid organization and plan to continue to grow in the legal field. I am also exploring part-time, temporary, or contracted positions (with a preference for remote work). I'm a lover of consistent and efficient organization, a longtime advocate for vulnerable and marginalized communities, and both a creative writer and a passionate critical thinker at my core. The kind of work I find most fulfilling is that in which I can have an everyday, tangible, positive impact on people--as well as flora and fauna--within my community and society. I'm proud to be the first-generation daughter of a Mexican immigrant mother, who despite her recent passing, still influences me today with her kind heart, steadfast work ethic, and brilliant mind. My mother's values have indelibly shaped my own, and are foundational to who I am, what I believe, and what I do.

Listed skills include Editing, Public Speaking, Microsoft Office, Blogging, and 17 others.
