Maintaining and expanding the data that the Clearbit platform is built on. Ruby, Kafka, AWS, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes

My primary role was to establish reliable product and marketing analytics, and to make it easily accessible to the company. I provided analyses, data, and dashboards on a broad range of topics for the company using SQL and Python. I was the primary architect behind the implementation of Segment on vacasa.com and set up dashboards and tables in Looker.

I led all of our analytics efforts and worked closely with product to measure and analyze user behavior. I sent out weekly analytics reports to leadership, as well as levied our analytics data to influence major product decisions. Additionally, I was instrumental to the implementation and quality analysis of our analytics. I'm also part of the team responsible for gathering, cleaning, and ingesting the data for our massive people data platform.

I began my position cleaning and organizing our massive people database, and grew into a role that extended into much more than manual cleansing. For example, I built and maintain our massive name, employment, and school indices, I wrote several heuristics for our data ingestion pipeline, QA'd major parts of our data collection pipeline, and used scripting to seek out patterns of bad data.

I worked with WE's Infinity software to collect and analyze sentiment and social data in online media for Microsoft products.

I am trained to operate the ATLAS accelerator, and work with the experimenters to give them the particle beam necessary for their experiment. For a quick explanation of particle accelerators, this TED video is great: http://youtu.be/G6mmIzRz_f8I also have learned to troubleshoot various systems that are a part of the accelerator such as vacuum systems and beam line diagnostics. During our upgrade, I was involved in a number of construction projects, primarily running water and air lines to the new beam line devices. I also tried to participate in as many STEM outreach programs as possible at Argonne, such as Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day, and Science Careers in Search of Women.

I did some computer work such as updating the school's MSDS database, and some Photoshop and PageMaker work. I also did some safety and storm drain inspections around campus.

I was an intern participating in the Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship Program funded by the Department of Energy at SLAC. As a part of this program, I worked on a project testing silicon detectors for the ATLAS and CXI experiments, and I wrote a paper and gave a presentation on my findings.

I coordinated the Kids for Kids Program at Reed. Every other Saturday, we went to the Ronald McDonald House to do arts and crafts and bake for the people staying at the house.
