My most visible work with music is in performing and teaching. On the teaching side, I specialize in piano and music theory for adult students. For performances, I typically fill the role of pianist in concerts with large ensembles, with previous such groups including Music for Charity at the University of Washington and the Sammamish Symphony Orchestra. In the digital space, I run a YouTube channel for my cover performances and arrangement showcases, and frequently use notation, MIDI, and editing software to produce those videos. I also offer services in accompanying (on piano and organ) and transcribing or arranging (typically for solo piano or voice/piano duo). Most musicians I collaborate with perform classical repertoire, but I have also worked with jazz, pop, and musical theatre styles. For the 2022-2023 season, I prepared and submitted 30 entries to various journalism awards. Part of my work here included drafting cover letters and following up on story impacts.

As part of a team of Outreach Assistants, I taught workshops in media literacy and storytelling to over 100 local students enrolled in FIUTS and Global Visionaries programs. I was also part of the staff and peer reviewers for an internal RadioActive workshop offered to non-admitted students of our annual intro program. Other duties included tabling at student-centric events, such as Seattle's annual Teen Action Fair, where I answered questions about RadioActive programs and application materials.

I produced a variety of audio media, from creative podcasts to traditional feature stories, and was involved in the every step of the process. Regular procedures involved working with established journalists to develop ideas, researching background, conducting interviews, writing and voicing script, and editing in Adobe Audition. My feature story on teen volunteers at King County libraries aired twice on KUOW 94.9 FM, while my creative audio podcast on social media bubbles was featured in a story exchange with Oregon Public Broadcasting. My first work for radio, an audio profile on my mother’s journey with homeschooling, won in the multimedia category for SPJ at UW’s 2023 Excellence in Journalism and Media Contest. In 2021, I shadowed KUOW reporter Amy Radil and helped interview and record tape for coverage of Seattle’s city attorney elections. In 2022, I wrote and produced the intro music for the latest season of the RadioActive podcast.

As a member of PSC's Guest Services department, I ensured visitors from all walks of life had an enjoyable experience at the museum by helping them with day planning, answering questions about the exhibits, or simply pointing the way to the nearest restroom. In my last few months with the team, I took on the additional role of Tinker Tank Facilitator, overseeing activities in the museum's hands-on makerspace.
