Balancing Technician
- Performed the balancing of various automotive and industrial rotating parts for corporate clientele such as Rivian, SRT, COPO, McNeilus, and Allison via horizonal, BV - model balancing machines. - Responsible for imbalance testing, machining/correcting, and certifying master parts such as flywheels, drive shafts, and transmission components for new production or recertification purposes.- Engaged in Balancing Technician training for both single and multi plane machines to grasp key aspects of balancing including proper machine calibration, locating part imbalance, machining precision, vector angles, and machine diagnostics and repair. - Furthered manual machining expertise balancing parts to diminutive tolerances and precise dimensions using Bridgeport mills and lathes. - Demonstrated ability to read customer part drawings/prints, identify significant characteristics, locate features, and interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.- Responsible for adherence to deadlines and specifications for each project. - Utilized effective communication skills with fellow engineers, coworkers, and clientele including the assessment of project issues and resolutions.
