  BladeRunners is an employment readiness program offered to youth ages 15 to 30 years old. We provide in house facilitation of soft skills (resume building, cover letter, interview skills) while onboarding external contractors for industry recognized certifications. One-on-one support to all youth is provided in order to help them put their best foot forward throughout their job search. As the program Director, I am responsible for scheduling, planning and organizing our 'monthly' intakes. This includes constructing the calendars for youth, coordinating with trainers for in class training, marketing for upcoming intakes and assessing clients eligibility. NYSA has a branch office in the Comox Valley where we run the BladeRunners program as well. As the director, I oversee and manage our Program Facilitator for that location to ensure we are delivering the best training for our youth. Along with the daily duties as a Program Director I must report to our funders by providing quarterly and annual updates in the form of statistical reports as well as proposals to continue our funding.
