I am a fourth-year undergraduate student studying at the University of Guelph, with a major in Wildlife Biology and Conservation with a minor in Molecular Biology and Genetics. Presently, I volunteer at the Hajibabaei Lab at the University of Guelph, focusing on the biomonitoring of stream systems across Canada using environmental barcoding with next-generation sequencing. Last summer I also completed seasonal work with Sea Lamprey Control through the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada and partnered with U.S. Fish and Wildlife. During this time I aided in the pest management of Sea Lampreys to conserve the biodiversity of aquatic species in the Great Lakes water systems across Ontario and portions of the United States.Outside of school, I have a passion for the outdoors, including backpacking, camping, and rock climbing.
