I am a dedicated professional with a strong background in psychology and conflict resolution. My journey began with six months of volunteering as an English teacher in Villavicencio, Colombia, in 2017. This experience ignited my passion for supporting vulnerable communities and led me to pursue a master's degree in Clinical Psychology and Psychopathology from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, which I completed in September 2022.During my studies, I interned at a mental health center for asylum seekers in Brussels, where I witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of human rights violations at the state level. This experience deepened my commitment to understanding the complexities surrounding forced exile, prompting me to enroll in a master’s program in Peace, Mediation, and Conflict Research at Åbo Akademi University in Finland.Most recently, I completed an internship with the International Crisis Group as part of the Gender and Conflict team, where I focused on promoting gender mainstreaming across various programs. Currently, I hold a Policy and Outreach role at Search for Common Ground, where I am passionate about advancing Youth, Peace, and Security initiatives as well as conflict-sensitive climate programming. I am eager to contribute to peacebuilding and conflict resolution efforts through a gender-responsive and trauma-informed lens.
