Represented and helped shape the church on campus to provide a safe space for students and faculty. This included administrative duties, recruitment and maintenance of member participation, relationship building, and event planning. In the process of shaping the group, meetings were held to determine the best course of action as well as the church's next steps, in which I actively participated in the discussion and execution, as well as organizing the overall schedule using a culmination of meeting minutes. From the goal to expand the church as well as its involvement on campus, recruitment and advertising plans were made. This effort included making posters, posting bulletins, and individual contact. Relationships were made between the church and other organizations on campus, as well as between individuals, including both students and faculty. I held a mentorship role within Ekklesia as well, connecting with the group's newer and younger members on a one-on-one basis. These meetings were scheduled bi-weekly and included the discussion of their personal gifts and interests, and the possibility of incorporating them into playing a more active role in shaping and tailoring the church. Event planning was one of the most prominent ways in which Ekklesia was able to build and create new relationships, while also creating a safe space for questions and discussion. These events ranged from a simple and non-threatening games night to a panel discussion on the topic of social justice, highlighting community members and professors'​ experiences. I headed the planning process of several events at each step along the way: determining the event's scope and goals, radio and poster advertising, recruiting for various assisting roles, room booking, and hosting on the day of the event.
