My work spanned events, publications and marketing projects, and I had particular responsibility for organising their International Fellowship Programme. This brings senior publishing figures to Scotland each year to discover Scottish books and acquire rights.

This involved editorial and budget management, idea generation and working closely with colleagues across Defra – from agency staff to Ministers – to create engaging content to strict monthly deadlines.Online news editor for Defra’s intranet, with responsibility for scheduling, editing, writing and publishing news and features using Adobe Dreamweaver and Photoshop. I also managed a range of other internal communications projects including events and staff campaigns.
