This temporary position involved door to door canvassing across Atlanta leading up to the 2024 general election. Canvassers on my team campaigned for the #ReclaimYourVote campaign by the National Urban League, a nonpartisan campaign working to increase voter turnout among minorities nationwide.

This semester I had the opportunity to work with Professor Christen Mucher at Smith College, assisting her research in early Indigenous history in the northeast and eastern US. I was able to learn about Mucher's research in concepts of deep time and storytelling and to be improving my own research skills. In this role I created a bibliography of books documenting Indigenous creation stories from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, looking into more modern discussion of these stories, and working alongside Professor Mucher to analyze these stories and see what they tell us about Indigenous people fourteen thousand years ago.

The Jandon Activist Fellowship is a semester or year long fellowship through the Jandon Center for Community Engagement at Smith College. The fellowship requires 220 hours of community outreach through internships and volunteer work. My focus for the fellowship is supporting those in the Northampton community experiencing housing insecurity and poverty, primarily through support for free childcare services.

Worked at Camp Menogyn for the summer seasons with middle and high school students, including planning, preparing for, and co-guiding a 34 day backpacking trip to the Bitterroot Mountains in Idaho.
